LIVE IN A BED competition brought to you by Suncoast and Hirsch’s is your chance to win R100,000 in Cash.  

Do you have what it takes to outlast the rest?  Enter before 14 August for a chance to be selected.

Seven (7) contestants will be randomly selected to take part in the competition.

Contestants will be notified by telephone.

Entries close at 24h00 on 14 August.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

  1. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 60.
  2. Participants must be in possession of a valid South African Identity document or card.
  3. Participants must not have any medical /health conditions or have been hospitalized for any medical condition within the last 90 days that would endanger their health or safety during the competition. All medical conditions must be disclosed during the application process. Failure to do so shall render the application invalid.
  4. Employees, agents, and affiliates of the organizing company, partners or any subsidiaries, as well as their immediate family members,

are not eligible to participate.

Application Process

  1. Interested individuals must complete an application form and enter into the entry bins located at any Hirsch store or Suncoast. The application form can also be downloaded from either Hirsch’s or Suncoast websites for completion but needs to be entered into the entry bins at your preferred location.
  2. Applications must include a brief personal biography and a description of why they want to participate.
  3. Participants must consent to a background check and medical examination. The medical exam will be for the participants account.
  4. All applications are subject to approval by the competition organizers.

Competition Rules

  1. The competition will take place over a specified period, which will be communicated to participants in advance.
  2. The competition starts on Friday, 6 September and will run until we have a winner.
  3. Participants must remain within the confines of the enclosed participation area and in contact with the bed for the duration of the

competition, except for scheduled breaks.

  1. Scheduled breaks will include bathroom and hygiene breaks as well as meal breaks. A breakdown of scheduled breaks will be given on the opening day.
  2. Participants are not allowed to use electronic devices unless permitted by the organizers. Social media coverage will be discussed at the start of the competition.
  3. Participants must follow all instructions given by the competition staff.

Health and Safety

  1. Participants must undergo a full medical examination (at their cost) prior to the competition and provide a doctor’s certificate confirming their fitness to participate.
  2. Participants must disclose all existing health conditions, including physical and mental health issues.
  3. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant if their health is deemed to be at risk.
  4. Medical personnel will be on standby during the competition to provide assistance if needed.
  5. Participants must adhere to any health and safety guidelines provided by the organizers.

Disqualification

  1. Participants may be disqualified for breaching any of the competition rules or for endangering their own health or the health of others.
  2. A participant that has been disqualified shall have no right of claim over the organizers and must wilfully exit the competition.
  3. Dishonest conduct or any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification.
  4. Disqualified participants must leave the competition premises immediately. A participant deemed to have been disqualified shall have

no right of re-entry.

Winner Selection

  1. The winner will be the participant who successfully adheres to all rules and remains in contact with the bed for the entire duration of the competition.
  2. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a tie-breaking challenge or by the discretion of the competition organizers.
  3. The decision of the competition organizers is final and binding.

Prizes

  1. The winner will receive a prize, which will be specified in the competition announcement.
  2. Consolation and Challenge prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items.
  3. Any taxes or other costs associated with the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

Publicity and Privacy

  1. Participants agree to the use of their name, likeness, and any photos or videos taken during the competition for promotional purposes on Hirsch’s and Suncoast marketing platforms.
  2. Personal information provided during the application process will be used solely for the purpose of the competition and will be handled in accordance with privacy laws.

Liability

  1. Organizers are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by participants during the competition and the participants fully indemnify the organizers thereof.
  2. Participants enter the competition at their own risk and agree to release the organizers from any liability.

Miscellaneous

  1. The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time during the duration of the competition.
  2. Any disputes arising out of the competition will be resolved at the sole discretion of the organizers.
  3. These terms and conditions are governed by the competition organisors.
