The Soil and Thee Legacy

An Acapella night with The Soil and Thee Legacy

The Soil and Thee Legacy are the 21st century’s answer to their countrymen Ladysmith Black Mambazo, although none of them can read a note of music.
Running fast in the tracks of their forerunners, this next generation of township Acapella bring their laid-back fusion of hip-hop, soul, jazz and afropop and Isicathamiya to ACAPELLA MUSIC at The Globe at Suncoast in Durban on the 18th May 2019.
No instruments needed just voices, a lot of music and fun on stage. The synergy between the two groups is awe-inspiring.  Both groups strive to fuse their voices to deliver melodic and harmonious messages that are aimed at uplifting and healing souls all around the world.  Singing without any instruments, both groups deliver urban contemporary sound and afro-rhythms deeply influenced by South African heritage.

These two award-winning South African A cappella groups THE SOIL –  a Soweto born, internationally acclaimed, multi award-winning and double platinum selling 3 -member group and THEE LEGACY (the third generation and grandsons of the members of the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo) have established a loyal fan base and have toured together before.  While THEE LEGACY is famous for their singles titled “Standwa Sam” and “Wena wedwa”, the song Wena Wedwa got them a brand endorsement with Simba for an advert on a Simba campaign, The Soil is for well known for hit songs such as Joy, Susan, Iinkomo and Nibanindzi and many more.

This is a show not to be missed.
