Durban-based performing artist, guitarist and music producer, Solomon Willy will be performing at Sunday Beats on Sunday, 30 July 2017 from 14h00 at the SUNCOAST Amphitheatre. Influenced by African and American pop and jazz greats such as Norman Brown, Fela Kuti, Salif Keita, George Benson and Oliver Mutukudzi, Willy, is a well-known name within the local jazz circles.

There is nothing better than listening to local music on the Durban promenade with a backdrop of the beach. Solomon has performed at gospel music concerts, jazz festivals with the likes of artists such as Naima Kay on her album ‘Umsebenzi’, Nomusa Dlomo & Vuka Afrika on the album ‘I Am Standing’ and many more. Some of the most exciting moments of his career were performing at the annual Durban Jazz Festival, Ugu Jazz Festival and the 2010 World Cup Celebration Performance.
