t’s been two years since the enigmatic Madame Zingara left the fun-loving city of Durban and it’s about time we returned to dazzle once again. After sell-out shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg, the inimitable crew will be packing their glitter-filled suitcases and embark on the journey to the warm and friendly capital of KwaZulu-Natal, ready to swing open the doors at the end of January. This might be the final stop of the exhilarating After Forever Tour, but the best has most definitely been left for last.
Housed in one of the last remaining antique mirror-tents in the world, and with an amazing new interior, the captivating After Forever show is filled with exceptional local and international acts. Audiences can expect red-hot Argentinian Gauchos, mind-bending contortion and mesmerizing aerial acts of strength and agility. And the hilarious antics of Hot Mr C and his tiny companion, the Absinthe Fairy, weave the night together. Madame Zingara’s very own songbirds, The Specifics, will also have guests tapping their toes to all-time favourites throughout the night while gourmet chefs serve a delectable four-course meal. It’s the ultimate night out and a much needed escape from our daily realities.
We’re delighted to once again be hosted by our friends and Durban’s premier entertainment destination, Suncoast. This will be our third stay, and we can’t wait to pop some champagne and enthrall Durban once again.
Suncoast’s Marketing Manager, Louise Howell said they have missed the incredible show and are thrilled about the return of the magical Madame Zingara crew to their grounds once again. “Durban can look forward to thrilling entertainment as the new unique and electrifying acts in the After Forever tour captivate Durbanites in true Madame Zingara style.”

Theatre of Dreams
Madame Zingara’s Theatre of Dreams is a dinner cirque spectacular which has been thrilling audiences in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban since early 2007. Based on the traditional Mirror tents of Europe, the innovative Theatre of Dreams has completely transformed the concept of dining out in South Africa, earning them many accolades for their interpretation of ‘dinner theatre.’ Offering a multi-sensory experience, which transcends the boundaries between audience, artists and staff, it is a unique synthesis of dining and entertainment where everything is possible and anything can happen.
Originally founded in 2001 by Richard Griffin, Madame Zingara was a capricious 80-seater restaurant nestled in the heart of Cape Town’s city centre. It was well known for its outlandish glitter-dusted service and Richard’s whimsical culinary creations.
Disaster struck in 2006 and the restaurant was burnt to the ground. Unable to rebuilt what was lost, the Zingara family fought back and so the Theatre of Dreams was born – an enthralling traveling dinner-cirque extravaganza housed in one of the last remaining antique mirror tents in the world. Enjoying full houses in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, Madame Zingara transformed the concept of dining out in South Africa, earning many accolades and awards along the way.Being a Cape Town based company, it seemed only right to put down roots and the Zingara Group has lovingly restored and resurrected landmark city restaurants. The Sidewalk Café, Café Mozart, Café Paradiso, The Bombay Bicycle Club and, most recently Café Manhattan, are now all proudly part of the Zingara family.
