Durban Prawn Festival

The upcoming Durban Prawn Festival, now in its third year, will be held at SUNzone, SUNCOAST.

The Festival has enjoyed extensive support from the Durban community over the last couple of years and continues to grow rapidly. This year, due to the increased demand the Durban Prawn Festival organising committee has decided to increase the number of participating restaurants. This also means that restaurants will be divided into two categories.

This year, 25 top Durban restaurants will participate of which 10 will cater for fine dining and 15 for casual dining. Part of this exciting event is a chefs competition which has become popular and well anticipated by local chefs.

All 25 restaurants will compete to win the coveted titles of either best restaurant or best signature prawn dish. What’s great, guests will also get to taste all the signature dishes prepared by each restaurant. Winners of the chefs competition will be announced on the last day of the event.

Time: 19h00

Ticket information
Cost: R150 per person
Ticket sales: Computicket and tickets will also be available at the door
Ticket entitles bearer to: taste each chef’s signature dish, two glasses of complimentary wine or soft drink

General information
• A cash bar will be available
• Radio personality Damon Beard will be MC
• There will be lucky draws, guests can go home with amazing prizes
• No children will be allowed in the venue
• Age restriction of 18 years applies
