HOW TO PLAY?

Blackjack is one of the most popular Casino card games. It is easy to learn and great fun to play. A Blackjack table normally has a capacity for seven seated players, all of whom play against the "House"(Casino), independently of other players. The object of the game is to beat the Dealer by having a hand that is closer to 21 than the Dealer's hand.

HOW IT WORKS
To commence the game, players will place their bets in the boxes on the layout. A sign on the table will display the betting limits. The Croupier will deal one card to each player and one card to the "House", followed by a second card to each player. These cards are all dealt face up.
Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings all count as 10, Aces count as either 1 or 11, and all other cards count as their face value. After the initial deal, players wishing to improve on the combined total of their first two cards will ask the Croupier for additional cards. Any player who draws extra cards and subsequently exceeds 21 is "Bust" and consequently loses. Any player whose first two cards are a Ten and Ace combination, has a Blackjack. This will be paid at odds of 3 to 2 provided the Dealer's hand is not also a Blackjack. Once all the players have made their decisions, the Croupier deals a second card to the "House". Unlike the players, the Dealer has no discretionary options, must draw cards to 16 and must stand on 17 and above. On completion of the coup, the Croupier will pay all winning hands at "Even Money" and take all losing bets. In the event the Croupier's hand and player's hand are of equal value, the result is a "Stand Off", therefore neither win nor lose.

BETTING OPTIONS
Insuring your bet

If the dealer’s first card is an Ace, players can take insurance against the dealer getting a Blackjack. Insurance pays out 2 to 1 and an insurance bet can be any amount up to half of the original bet wagered. If the dealer doesn’t get Blackjack, the insurance bet loses.
Double
A double bet enables a player to capitalise on a strong hand. Provided the first two cards are not a Blackjack or a total of 21, a player can bet an additional amount equal to the original bet and receive one additional card only. Winning Double bets pay even money.
Splitting pairs
If a player’s first two cards have the same numerical number (ie. 6 and 6), they can be split into two hands and played separately in the same game. A split hand can be split up to four times if the next additional card has the same numerical value.
An additional bet equal to the value of the original bet must accompany each split.
When splitting, the hand on the player’s right is completed first. Winning Split bets pay even money.
The 7’s is an additional bet placed before any cards are dealt. Initial cards being 7’s will be paid:
One 7 - paid 5:1
Two 7’s - 50 :1
Three 7’s - 500:1
Three 7’s Same Colour - 1000:1
Three 7’s Same Suite - 1500:1

Surrender
Players may surrender their bets before the third card is dealt to anyone on the table. This entails losing half of the value of their original bet and not participating in their current hand of play.

RULES AT A GLANCE
These key rules will help you when you play:

2. If the player exceeds 21, the hand is “Bust” and the player loses.
