SUNCOAST Spice has established itself as one of Durban’s premier cooking competitions and has attracted thousands of guests over the past 3 years.
The event has enjoyed much success on its simple formula of the best spice restaurants exhibiting their dishes to the public and then going head to head for the title of Durban’s Spice Champion.
The Event has gained such popularity that it will run over two days this year. Durban’s best spice eateries are invited to showcase their talents to the public by preparing their specialty spice dish and also in decorating specifically made out stalls to reflect their establishment unique themes.
All restaurants and chefs will be judged by a panel of local specialists and cooking personalities to determine Durban’s best spice restaurant and chef for 2010.
Guests are offered the opportunity to sample these recipes and other items from participating sponsors to the backdrop of the restaurants preparing their dishes live on stage. An added element this year is the call for prominent Durban chefs to go head to head as the best Spice Chef in Durban. Well known radio and television personalities will ensure that the crowds are kept entertained and the chefs kept on their toes.
